Yes , I was Blocked on Facebook ! It’s true!

What was weird to me was that it happened the week while I wasn’t even really online that much because I was in the process of closing on our new house and moving.  My computer was in a box and I hadn’t even been sending any friend requests or messages to people I wasn’t already friends with.

So, I checked my FB account from my phone and was greeted with a message saying I had been blocked on Facebook from sending any new friend requests for the next 7 days!  Wha-wha-what!?  What the world?

Surely this was a mistake.  Surely I – a (self-proclaimed) Facebook marketing expert – could not have been blocked on Facebook.  I’ve been playing by the rules – Scouts honor.

The HIP Movement?  What in the world is the HIP Movement?  Firstly, a little about HIP companies. “HIP” stands for Hybrid Income Program, which is a company that is set up like an affiliate program, but pays like a network marketing business.  HIP companies feel like an affiliate program, albeit a paid affiliate program (think My Lead System Pro or any other company, product or service that you cannot promote unless you are a member).

Because of this fact, HIP companies can be promoted as an affiliate program and are, therefore, easier to share with other marketers.  However, the same cannot be said for a network marketing opportunity.  Wait, let me take that back.  Of course people CAN lead with their network marketing business—you see it all the time (particularly on Facebook)—but it does not mean it is an effective strategy for growing your business.  Nobody likes to be pitched to.

NMVT, or Network Marketing Virtual Training, is a relatively new program being touted as the world’s most complete product suite and coaching program for direct sales enthusiasts, featuring 100% commissions at an affordable price.

Sounds pretty promising, right?  I thought so when I gave it a quick look after being introduced to it by a buddy of mine.  At that time, I had already seen a couple of respected industry leaders promoting it so I did not think twice before pulling the trigger on joining.

I figured because there was, at that time, a 14-day free trial I could get in start promoting and if I did not like how it was going, I could cancel my NMVT membership before actually committing the money.  So, that is exactly what I did.

WP EZ Squeezey is a new WordPress plugin allowing you to easily create stunning, high-converting squeeze pages in matter of minutes.  Lead Rocket, which is also a WordPress squeeze page plugin and predates WP EZ Squeezey, is very similar.

First of all, both products are very good and I have used both.  Both plugins will work on any self-hosted WordPress installation regardless of theme.  So, it doesn’t matter whether you are using a premium WordPress theme like Optimize Press or the default “Twenty Eleven” theme, both plugins work great.
